Cosmetic dentistry is an excellent way to fix misshapen teeth, crooked teeth, discolored teeth, or any aspect of your teeth you’re not happy with.  We listen carefully so we can understand, and then recommend the best option – to deliver incredible results – We’re here to help  you smile again.

Improving your Smile

In consultation we will discuss the many ways in which we can help you to improve your smile. Your dentist will sit down with you and first find out what it is that you don’t like about your smile and then present a few options.

Once you have decided on the option that you feel is most right for you, we will provide you with a price for the treatment so that you can check with your health fund as to what cover you can expect to cover. Once you are happy, we can proceed – We wish for nothing more than to see you smile again!

Facial Aesthetics

We all want our teeth to be whiter, brighter, straighter so we too can have that perfect smile. Even when we show our teeth the greatest of care, over time they naturally start to discolor. As we age, foods and drinks we consume, lifestyle factors (smoking) – our teeth change. Teeth Whitening is one of the most popular cosmetic dental treatments for aligned, healthy teeth and to transform your smile, restoring the whiteness of your teeth; boosting your confidence and giving you a fresh new look, minimal downtime, and without requiring major cosmetic work.

Veneers

For a movie star smile, dental Veneers are extremely thin layers of porcelain, or resin composites. Veneers are used to even out, or resolve discolored teeth. When whitening treatment doesn’t work, restore a broken tooth, or close gaps and align crooked teeth, then eneers are the go-to. QDC will custom-make your veneers to fit each individual tooth. Our dentists use the most advanced technology, 3D imagery and highlyt advanced techniques to ensure your veneers are as natural looking as possible.

Teeth Whitening

There are a few ways you can whiten your teeth. At Quality Dental Care we favour in-home tooth whitening. Impressions are taken of your upper and lower teeth and the lab makes trays that will fit over your teeth perfectly. We provide you with the whitening gel to take home and over the course of about 2 weeks, your teeth will gradually lighten.

This is an inexpensive, non-aggressive way of whitening your teeth. You can whiten your teeth at your own pace and give yourself ‘top-ups’ whenever required. It should be noted that some short-term sensitivity is common.

Tooth whitening will whiten natural teeth but not crowns or fillings. You may choose to replace these at a later stage.

Crowns

While Crowns are primarily used to strengthen teeth they are also used in some situations to provide a very aesthetic solution to shape color and alignment issues.

Composite Veneers

Composite veneers are white fillings bonded to the front of the tooth to alter its appearance. While not as strong or as aesthetic as the lab-made porcelain veneers (see below) these can be used to great effect in certain situations. The only negatives of composite veneers are that they stain from time to time (coffee, red wine, turmeric). Also composite veneers are prone to chipping on occasion.

Porcelain Veneers

Porcelain veneers are thin casings of porcelain made by the lab and then cemented to the front of the tooth. Once applied, they alter the appearance of the tooth to create your selected and designed smile. With veneers, you can modify the size, shape, and color of the teeth they are bonded to. Porcelain veneers are a hybrid of cosmetic design—highly aesthetic with the added advantage of requiring minimal tooth removal during application (up to 1mm, if any).
